Redefining What it Means to Prepare for Baby: Why You Need a Postpartum Mindset Coach On Your Team

Honestly, I’m not sure what to call myself.

I’ve been back and forth for nearly a year now about what to actually call myself. Initially, I was hesitant to refer to myself as a "Postpartum Mindset Coach." But the more I reflected on my passions and skillsets, the more I realized that it was the perfect way to describe what I do. As an experienced NJ State Educator, Yoga Instructor, Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, as well as a Bringing Baby Home Educator and Fair Play Facilitator, I combine all of these roles to help empower moms to reach their full potential both as individuals and parents. By drawing on my diverse background and expertise, I can support you in creating a positive and confident mindset as you navigate the postpartum period.

As a birth worker at heart, I’ also proud to call myself a postpartum doula. While much of the role of a postpartum doula involves supporting a new mother through emotional and practical challenges, my focus is different from that of the average postpartum doula. Rather than primarily providing infant care, my expertise lies in helping new mothers navigate the transition to motherhood with intention and confidence.

I also use the term “postpartum strategist” because I view the transition to motherhood, or matrescence, as similar to starting a business or any other major life change that requires careful planning. As much as I wish we lived in a world where postpartum was supported and valued, the reality is that we often have to create that support for ourselves.

With a background in education and a passion for empowering women, I am committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to new mothers. My goal is to help you feel informed and empowered to make the best decisions for yourself and your family as you navigate this exciting and challenging new chapter of your life.

And here's the thing – I’ve been where you are. I’ve experienced the joys and challenges of motherhood firsthand.

As a former Attachment Parenting International and ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) Leader, I understand the importance of education and support in navigating the twists and turns of the postpartum journey.

As a conscious parent, I’m familiar with the challenges of advocating for your choices and beliefs in a world that often looks at parenting through a more conventional lens.

As a mother who underwent IVF, I’ve experienced the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with infertility, loss, and the desire to have a child.

As someone who experienced a second trimester loss, I understand the grief and pain that comes with losing a child.

As a mother who had both a cesarean, I know firsthand the challenges of recovering from major surgery while caring for a newborn.

And as a mother who went on to have a successful home birth after cesarean (HBAC), I am proof that you can overcome fear and obstacles to have the birth experience that you desire.

I’ve also experienced postpartum anxiety and breastfeeding challenges, and I know how important it is to have a supportive community and access to resources during this vulnerable time.

So when I say I can help you unleash your true potential during the postpartum period, I mean it. I’ve been there and want to help you navigate this journey with confidence, compassion, and a healthy dose of humor.

By investing in yourself and your postpartum journey, you're taking an important step toward becoming the best parent you can be. I'm here to support you every step of the way, and I look forward to helping you thrive during this transformative time.

Tiff Dee

Hey there! I’m Tiff. I believe in challenging the status quo and rejecting the pressure to conform to society's expectations of parenthood. As a parent myself, and a certified birth worker and educator with over two decades of experience, I know that traditional parenting advice can often be rigid, outdated, and simply not relevant in the modern world.

That's why I take a radically different approach. My planning and mentorship program will empower you to embrace your own unique parenting style, while providing practical advice and support along the way. Whether you're dealing with sleepless nights, feeding challenges, or the overwhelming feeling of being a new parent, I’ve been there.

As an anti-perfectionist, I'm passionate about empowering caregivers to trust their instincts and navigate the highs and lows of parenting with confidence and ease.
